list diskstat shows nothing but fetch diskstats works?

Newbie just setting up.
I can get diskstats from both nodes I've configured so far.
Neither retuns anything for 'list diskstats' but both fetch ok.
The overview shows all of the links for one node but only disk for the other.
I guess the bit I'm missing is what controls the generation of graphs/html ...
The graphs are being generated but the html makes no reference to them i.e. I can specify the url to cpu.html but it's not generated in index.html for the node.
Really basic set up, just configured a bunch of plugins and 2 nodes.
Any help greatly appreciated.
